Our chemical-free, planted (not wild) variety is grown using the traditional farming techniques at elevations below 600-700 meters in the high ranges of Idukki district which is considered the best for growing nutmeg. Mace (also known as Javitri) is a thin leathery tissue spread over the nutmeg seed coat.Mace has a finer aroma than nutmeg. Mace is red in colour when it is fresh and turns yellowish-orange after drying. To offer you the best quality, we hand sort the mace to ensure there is no damage in the form of pest or fungus.
