Our chemical-free, planted (not wild) variety is grown using the traditional farming techniques at elevations below  600-700 meters in the high ranges of Idukki district which is considered the best for growing nutmeg. Our nutmeg fruits are freshly plucked from the tree and the fallen fruits are strictly avoided during harvest.  After manually removing the mace, the seed is washed and dehydrated.  We don’t remove the shell from nutmeg seed to retain its flavour and increase the shelf life.
