The Njallani cardamom has a tint of citrusy taste and a milder flavour in comparison to other indigenous cultivars. This farmer bred variety was developed by Sebastian Joseph Njallani, a farmer in the cardamom hills. Found to be a high yielding variety, it was further promoted and used by many farmers. However, this variety was less pest resistant compared to the low yielding indigenous ones and it was after years of experiments that our farmers learned it to grow chemical free by using zero budget natural farming methods and microbial controls.

    Some of the best cardamom ever

    I live in the US and ordered an indigenous cardamom variety similar to the Njallani. Not only did the package arrive quickly (in about 10 days), but the cardamom was incredibly fresh. Green seed pods with flavorful, moist, black seeds. These are not your ordinary cardamom seeds! Even though it is more expensive to buy directly from Graamya and have it shipped to the US, I think it's worth supporting indigenous and sustainable farming methods to harvest such an amazing flavor.

    So aromatic and fresh!

    I started using their spices recently and I am completely hooked. The freshness and aroma that you get from their spices is unmatchable. I also admire their efforts in conscious production, fair pricing and supporting the growers in the best possible ways. Everyone in the team is also quite supportive and share their knowledge and expertise, I found this really helpful. I have used all their spices so its hard to choose favourites, but cardamom, cloves, black pepper and cocoa have my heart.

    Aroma & Flavours fest....

    Been sourcing my spices from Graamya for a long time now. Never been disappointed. They have always delivered what they have promised. Have enjoyed the cooking. And the compliments that flow in due to the aromas.
