Who grows our Cinnamon?

IMG_3489.JPG

In Thodupuzha, in the low ranges of Idukki, Kerala, Dr. Rony grows his cinnamon trees naturally. In a region where rubber is the major crop, Dr. Rony began his journey with cinnamon in the year 2017. The cinnamon trees are cut at the right intervals and thus maintaining plant health and also the quality of cinnamon. We have been associated with him for the past 3 years.

How it reaches you?

Farmer    Us       You

Grown at an elevation of 600-700m, our farmer grows cinnamon naturally, using traditional methods, thus making it chemical free. The harvest and post-harvest activities are vital for good cinnamon. And so, Graamya undertakes all the harvest and post harvest activities at the farm and at our facility timely. The trees are cut at regular intervals every year and its outer skin is removed manually and dried in dryers with at most care, precision and expertise, so that the texture flavours and aroma is superior.  The perfectly dried cinnamon sticks are then packed and stored in opaque, air-tight containers.
