Our chemical-free, planted (not wild) variety is grown using the traditional farming techniques at an elevation of 700-800 meters in Idukki district which is considered the best for growing nutmeg.Mace (also known as Javitri) is a thin leathery tissue spread over the nutmeg seed coat. Mace is red in colour when it is fresh and turns yellowish-orange after drying. To offer you the best quality, we hand sort the mace to ensure there is no damage in the form of pest or fungus. Mace has a finer aroma than nutmeg.
