The Perumkodi variety of pepper is one of the oldest indigenous varieties cultivated. Our farmers practice spiritual farming, also known as zero budget natural farming, to create forest-like conditions in the fields, to grow chemical free pepper. All our pepper is cultivated at an elevation higher than 1000m in Idukki hills. Higher elevation accounts for more flavour and higher oil content. To ensure greater density (600+ litre weight), more flavour and increased shelf life, our pepper is harvested only when it’s fully ripe. The peppercorns of Perumkodi are bigger in size in comparison to other cultivars and has a balanced taste profile.
